(WR) #4 Insulating Garage Doors
In episode #4 we look into a simple way to work more comfortably in a garage workshop. Like many garage woodshops my garage doors are uninsulated sheet metal. What this means is in the heat of the summer or the cold of the winter, my shop can become very uncomfortable to work in.
I looked into several different options for insulating metal garage doors. Everything from craft backed insulation you'd use in-between outside stud walls, spray on insulation, hard foam 4 x 8 sheets, to finally the product we decided to go with.
We chose a reflective material that was thin enough to be flexible but still offered good insulation, was very easy to install (took less than an hour) and was less costly than most other alternatives (around $80). If you're interested in learning more about this product click here: Reflectix
